Welcome to my first post in Baggage Drop! It is a place to
lighten your load. Honestly, it’s therapy for the soul. Ask me a question, get
advice, give advice, make a statement, voice a concern, vent, laugh, cry, and just
drop your baggage off to help make your day go easier! It’s kind of like free
therapy. I’m no expert but consider myself a “baggage handler”. I too suffer
from maintaining a heavy load and sometimes feeling like I’m going to go
crazy. So, welcome to my world and thank
you for allowing me into yours!
One of my biggest frustrations lately has been that one of
our dogs, a recent Pomeranian rescue, will pee on her bed and eat her poop!!
The weird thing is that she will go outside and on her pee pad for days, and
then all of a sudden decides that she would like to cause me more work and soak
our lovely dog beds that all of the dogs share…with hot steamy yellow liquid goodness!
This confuses me. And then she acts proud of it…as if she deserves a treat. Please
tell me what I am missing!? To make matters worse, she then poops and eats
it. I am providing them with great Dick
Van Patton food and treats, as well as hefty food portions, and yet she still
devours those brown logs. One day I came
downstairs to see her licking her lips. I asked her “what are you doing??” and she
knew that I knew…so she immediately sat on the remaining morsels. Ugh!!
I have tried to put some very bad tasting pet store approved
powder in her food to deter her from this nasty habit, only to find that she
still somehow likes the taste…or she is just hungry. I have also taken advice to put her bed next
to her pee pad so that she doesn’t have to walk far, as sometimes I think she’s
afraid of our hard wood floors. But, lo and
behold, she then goes across the room to empty her bladder in the path of our
walking. Maybe she’s being defiant…but
she looks so sweet!! And she really is a doll!
So this is my baggage for the day. I will continue on my
journey to find the solution to this problem.
If you have one please write, email, Facebook or tweet me to help in
this nasty habit battle. And I thought
my husband’s habit of nicotine was bad…at least he doesn’t eat his poop and pee
at my feet!!
THE CULPRIT

Love the photo!
ReplyDeleteOmg i love your photo, it reminds me of my dog bella which is also a Pomeranian and she has some gross habits to that we had to take her to training at petsmart to try and get rid of, like for example when someone would come over she would pee all over the place so while taking her to train not to do that we would take her outside when we knew someone was coming so she can just let go outside and not pee in the house which would drive my mom crazy.
